As a lifetime New England sports fan, I was determined in October of 2005 to finally start using that passion and determination to create the site now known as Celtics 24/7. I still manage Celtics 24/7 today, but as a huge sports fan in general, I figured why not expand? That led me to opening up the Signature Sports blog and so far it has exceeded my expectations. I am currently attending the University of Maine and will be graduating this Spring with a Business Marketing degree and a minor in Communications. I plan to use the skills I have learned over the past few years to continue to help Celtics 24/7 and Signature Sports grow into two of the top sports blogs around. We appreciate the support from you the fans and if you have any questions please feel free to email me.

I grew up in the South East and have followed SEC football throughout my life. I’m a huge fan of the Georgia Bulldogs on the turf and on the court. I moved to Colorado just over a year ago. It was a big change but I got the chance to follow some new teams that I now call myself a fan of including the Denver Nuggets, and Colorado Rapids. I love the MLS and what the league is doing in the U.S., I feel that it has a very bright future. If I’m not watching sports I’m seeing a new movie, browsing the internet, or traveling.

Having been born in the Phoenix area and lived here all my life (except for a two-year stint as a missionary in Southern Argentina), I have been passionate about Arizona sports (loving the Suns, Cardinals, D’Backs, ASU Sun Devils, while hating the Arizona Wilcats) for as long as I was aware that there were sports in Arizona. Unfortunately, due to the fact that my wonderful parents have never been big sports fans, I was about 12 when that happened, so I started late. I am not a writer by profession, as I teach Spanish full-time at a high school and part-time for a college. I write from my perspective as a fan who, like many of you, is trapped (albeit happily) in a world of responsibility, being a husband, a father of four, a man with a career, and a man of faith. My views are formulated by watching games on TV, reading the Internet, and attending games every once in a while (aside from ASU Football, as I go to ALL their home games). It’s a view from my La-Z-Boy (sometimes from the bleachers, but mostly from the La-Z-Boy), but it’s still a view. I sometimes get mad, sad, frustrated, and disappointed, but even in the worst of times, I always enjoy the ride and want to look positively at what could be. After all, why bother with sports if you find no enjoyment in it? We already have enough things in life we have to do that lack in enjoyment.

I am a sports fan. I am human. Pretty much in that order. Originally from Philadelphia now living in Virginia Beach. I have a degree in journalism from Radford University. Huge Phillies, Eagles and MMA fan. I enjoy covering the Nationals (home town team) and going to live games. Sports is life, Utley is God and I bring the pain. Well maybe not that last part but I think you get the picture.

Born in raised in Massachusetts all my life mean I know tremendous highs and woeful lows when it comes to sports. I grew up in the 1980s and I had the opportunity to see the greatest of highs when The Green Machine ruled the court only to be followed by the death of Reggie and the rebuilding decade or two of the Celtics. I have always considered myself a basketball fan, but my love for the game grew into an obsession when I moved to Boston for college. I attended and graduated from Suffolk University just blocks from the Garden (the Fleet Center at the time) and had the opportunity to attend games for next to nothing, usually $10 bucks with a student ID. See there are some positive points to awful years when you are a poor kid in college. You can also find my early writings at Suffolk University if you search the archives of The Suffolk Journal, good luck. Outside of basketball my life includes a beautiful wife and an adorable son, martial arts, an affinity for tattoos and XBox (Hit me up as “Obi Wan Canubi” if you want to play). “Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless – like water. Now you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup; You put water into a bottle it becomes the bottle; You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.” ~ Bruce Lee
